Thabo I wholeheartedly agree with you breakfast is a must. I simply can’t walk out of the home without having it. I actually did last week and I just couldn’t focus and yes I ate much more throughout the day. Out of your suggestions, I prefer the smoothie recipe it fits my regime of a smoothie for breakfast this week as we are at the beginning of spring here in Australia.

    • Thabo

      Hey Fleur

It is so great to hear your testimony of how not eating breakfast affected your eating habits.
Smoothies are a great breakfast choice since they are very smooth and light which enable you to be fuller for longer and on top of that it keeps you hydrated.

  • Melinda

One of the best things that you can have in the morning for breakfast is protein. It keeps you full for hours without spiking your insulin levels. I personally have bacon and eggs or steak and eggs for breakfast. A good dose of meat and protein is full of nutrition. (I realize that some people believe meat is bad for you, but I feel great on it.)

    • Thabo

      Hey Melinda

I do agree that protein is the best for the morning and that is one I have meals which have protein like avocado.

Meat is not bad as long as it is eaten in proper moderation. I would recommend going for lean meat if you opt for meat.

  • Vanna Denham

I am happy this post was helpful to make you more heart healthy in the morning. Yes I also hate traditional breakfast thus I stick to the light and healthy breakfast.
I would recommend using marble syrup for this recipe as it is the best combination.

  • Vanna Denham

I tend to skip breakfast either because I’m rushing and or don’t like
the heavy traditional breakfast. I will definitely try the Berry-Banana
Cauliflower smoothie since it does not have dairy. Is there any particular
kind of syrup you use in this recipe?
